question/problem
im not sure weather this belongs in the other board but anyway here we go, since about 1-2months ago iv been havent been able to view other peoples armour to the high quality of which mine is shown, i think this only happens in towns and outposts because in mission areas ect its fine(i think ), there armour is displayed perfectly, here is an example of what i mean
im the guy on the right with the 1.5k kurzick and the guy to the left is another player, as you can see his amour graphic quality poor, yet mine is perfect , i currently run the game on the level below max quality and it runs fine but this little thing just bothers me, does anyone know why its doing this? and is/did this happening to anyone else? help me thanks in advanced ~~wix |

This is how GW is designed. Other people's armor is never shown as detailed and clear are yours. I don't remember if there's a setting in the Video options for you to turn this off (if you have a high end system), but from what I remember it was done on purpose.
This never happened to you prior to 1-2 months ago? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. |

It can't be turned off. If you turn your graphics quality up, only yours will be turned up - in an outpost. If you go into an explorable area with said warrior, his armor will be as detailed as your own, as will everything else.

I never noticed that untill now and ewwww its wierd. I don't like it. Are you sure there is no way to fix it while in a town/outpost? I can understand having this for the lower quality graphics, but for all of them? There has to be some way to have them look normal in a town, unless Arena Net has already put this on their list of things to do....

You can't "fix" it gamecube, it was done on purpose. Does it really *matter* what someone's armor looks like in town, though? Not really, it's not like you're running around giving prizes to people that have nice armor...

Theres nothing to "Fix"
Its a proposely added (and great) feature. Its to reduce the load on your computer. Detailing 8 people's armors vs. Detailing 500+ players armors....Which do you think would DESTROY even a great computer... |
